The Turkish state declared the whole of Kurdistan a war zone after the blows it suffered from the guerrillas. They could not show the strength and courage to discuss the facts. They did not break their centuries-old memorization of Kurdish enmity. Their vows that "We will attack more, kill more and increase destruction" continue to come one after the other. They do not discuss the Kurds, their quest for rights and their resistance except terrorism. They say, "We will continue killing, destroying and genocide until the last terrorist is left."

The Turkish press is carrying out an incredible job to convince the public of war and to distort their consciousness. Billions of dollars are being spent on this war, thousands of people are losing their lives. The poisoning of the democratic environment, the institutionalization of fascism, the collapse of law and justice are being ignored. They tell the Turkish people as if there was no other way but war, as if this was a divine command. They are trying to make everyone a part of this war and destruction. Nationalism and militarism are being made dominant. Questions such as why the Turkish army is entering Syria and Iraq, why the occupation areas are constantly being expanded, why millions of people are being forced to migrate are not asked and are prevented from being thought about. Instead of causing so much destruction and death, why don't you come to an agreement and make peace with the Kurds? No one is saying, "What evil have the Kurds done to you? How can you build coexistence by killing and expelling them?"

"We no longer see Syria and Iraq as separate," they say. This means that North-East Syria will always be a battlefield. The Turkish army has established dozens of bases in Iraq and South Kurdistan. They continue to increase attacks and establish new bases. In summer and winter, day and night, warplanes and helicopters bombard South Kurdistan and artillery shelling continues uninterruptedly. The KDP legitimizes this and points to the PKK and the Kurdish front as the cause of the war. The USA and NATO have given their approval to these attacks of the Turkish state, and all international organizations have fallen into complete silence. Turkish fascism says that it will do the same in North-East Syria.

The Turkish army has been saying for years that it will eliminate the areas it defines as the Kurdish corridor and that it will prevent the Kurds from having a status at all costs. "We have destroyed the Kurdish corridor, occupied Jarablus, Afrin and Serêkaniyê, and we will clear the rest of the areas", they say. They are very reckless and try to explain all their crimes against humanity and violations of the laws of war with the concept of the fight against terrorism. They are bombing oil facilities, power stations, wheat granaries, water stations. These are clearly not military targets. The UN, the US and European countries are only watching these war crimes. SDF forces who fought against ISIS and are still working with them and participating in operations are being massacred as PKK fighters.

By naming the fight against the PKK and terrorism, the massacre of the Kurds, the condemnation of the people to cold and hunger and their forced migration are legitimized. How are Turkey's actions in North-East Syria different from Gaza? Those who blame Israel for Gaza and take the problem to international institutions are silent when it comes to the Kurds and close their eyes and ears. Turkey can carry out these attacks with the support and connivance of powers such as the USA and Europe. If the USA and Russia closed their airspace to Turkey, these massacres and destruction would be prevented. Remaining silent does not mean anything other than approval and complicity.

The USA and Europe are mainly responsible for the fact that the Turkish Republic has been waging this war for forty years, tens of thousands of people have lost their lives and millions have been forced to migrate. These powers do not want the war to end. If these powers had not declared the PKK a terrorist organization and the Kurds had not been excluded from legitimacy, the Kurdish question would have been solved long ago. Leader Apo (Abdullah Öcalan) would not be held hostage in Imrali. The Turkish state has made very bad use of the fact that the US and Europe have declared the PKK a terrorist organization and excluded it. Taking refuge in this concept of terrorism, it continued to kill them and commit all crimes against humanity instead of solving the problem with the Kurds.

Fascist Erdoğan and his cohorts have now added the concepts of "Terroristan" to their definitions, such as terror corridor. Of course, we read “Terroristan” as Kurdistan. They cannot mention Kurdish and Kurdistan. Because they have shaped their genocide policies and mentality on denial and annihilation. They see erasing the Kurd from history as a guarantee for their existence.

Every time they attacked North-East Syria, they invented some excuses. The Kurds have not attacked Turkey or declared war against it. Turkey is waging this war unilaterally. It is the one attacking and occupying. We have always said that whether the Kurds do something or not, the Turkish state will continue its attacks on North-East Syria. Because they say that they will dismantle the Kurdish corridor and they will not allow the Kurds to obtain any status. When their goals and intentions are so clear, do the Kurds need to do anything for them to attack? Of course, no. They were resorting to simple tricks to distract and confuse the left and right. But with the attacks that have been going on since 22 December, they no longer have the problem of finding an excuse. They are openly saying that they will not discriminate between the Kurds and the parts of Kurdistan, they will strike and disperse them all. Isn't it enough to reveal their intentions when they target Sulaymaniyah, the PUK and threaten everyone?
