In the freedom rally to be held in Cologne, Germany tomorrow (16 November) within the scope of the ‘Freedom for Abdullah Öcalan, a Political Solution to the Kurdish Question’ campaign, 93 books containing the philosophical and political views of Kurdish Leader Abdullah Öcalan and published in 6 different languages will meet with the public at the stands to be opened by Memyan Publishing House.

The books in Kurdish (Kurmanji and Sorani), Turkish, Arabic, Persian, English, German and Italian present to the world a comprehensive intellectual heritage dealing with Öcalan’s democratic confederalism, ecological society model and women's libertarian paradigm.

The rally will bring together not only the Kurdish people, but also those who embrace the ideas of Leader Öcalan on a universal scale and come together from all over the world to support these ideas.

Öcalan saw women's freedom as the basis of social development and transformation of ‘Jin Jiyan Azadi’ (Woman, Life, Freedom) and developed an ecological approach that rebuilds a society in harmony with nature. The political strategy he developed as the Third Way aims to overcome the political deadlock in the Middle East and offers a democratic alternative for the self-government of the peoples. These books, which he wrote under severe conditions of isolation in İmralı Prison, represent not only a concentration on the solution of the Kurdish question, but also a global vision of justice and freedom, and serve as a source of inspiration for many nations and opposition groups seeking rights in the world.
