The women’s journalism website Şûjin, with their motto “A packing needle [“şûjin”] against the masculine language of the mainstream media”, has been under a cyber attack since yesterday. Their domain gazetesujin.net is unavailable at times, and the website posted this announcement on their Twitter account: “Our website gazetesujin.net is under attack. Access is interrupted. Follow us on social media for updates and broadcast announcements.”

Gazete Şûjin editor Nişmiye Güler said: “This attack against the Şûjin, which is a stand against the dominant masculine language of the media, is an attack against all women. We continue to produce and post over social media until the attack is overcome. Keep following us.”
