On the way to visit Selahattin Demirtaş in Edirne prison, his family members had a traffic accident on Friday. The accident occurred near the town of Çorlu. In the car were his father, Tahir Demirtaş, his mother Sadiye Demirtaş, his father-in-law Mehmet Akkaya and his brothers-in-law Hüseyin Akkaya and Fesih Türkmen.

They are still in hospital at the moment, but their state of health is good, according to the reports.
