Police raid the office of Sendika.org media outlet, detain editor

Police raided the office of Sendika.org media outlet and detained editor Ali Ergin Demirhan related to the coverage of Sunday's referendum.

Police forces raided the office of Sendika.org News/Media website in Istanbul this morning.

Following a search in the office, Sendika.org editor Ali Ergin Demirhan was taken into custody for allegedly "trying to delegitimize the referendum results, organizing demonstrations on the website's social media accounts, inciting public to hatred and enmity and insulting a public officer".

Demirhan was taken to Esenler Atışalanı Police Headquarters.
