MKGP: We will be in front of the court
Mesopotamia Women Journalists Platform (MKGP) Spokesperson, Roza Metina, told Mesopotamia news agency (MA) that women journalists have a very important role and mission in the media field. Metin said: “This is why the AKP-MHP government is making systematic attacks. There were these attacks before the AKP-MHP. But the AKP-MHP attacks women journalists in order to achieve their goals, to develop their manipulations through their own media, and to eliminate women and community organisations."
Calling for participation in the first hearing, Metina said: “As MKGP, we will be in front of the Diyarbakır Courthouse on the day of the hearing to show solidarity to the journalists in prison. Journalism cannot be prosecuted and journalists can never be silenced. We will increase our struggle against this monist system that attacks journalists.”
