15 more prisoners join the hunger strike in Şakran prison
The hunger strike started by 13 inmates in İzmir's Şakran Prison continues in its 14th day. 15 more prisoners have joined the hunger strike today.
13 inmates in T-4 department of the Aliağa Şakran Prison in the western province of İzmir went on a hunger strike after being battered by prison officers 13 days ago.
15 more prisoners have joined the hunger strike today in protest at the increasingly ongoing mistreatment and right violations they are being subject to. Prisoners announced their participation in the hunger strike through their families, and called for public sensitivity.
