According to the data published by the Intellectual and Artistic Workshop Association (FISA) Child Rights Center, 40 children lost their lives in Turkey in February. Of the children who lost their lives, 17 were girls and 20 boys.
According to the data, it was stated that one of the girls lost her life as a result of gender-based violence, 4 children as a result of suicide, 5 children as a result of house fires and one of these children could not be saved because of disability.
Five of the children who lost their lives were refugee children who had to leave their country due to the war in Syria in 2011.
