Şenyaşar family continues justice vigil in Istanbul
The Şenyaşar family, who carries out a justice vigil for their family members who were murdered in Urfa, has been visiting Istanbul for two days to get legal support.
The justice vigil of Emine Şenyaşar, who lost her husband and two sons in an armed attack in 2018 that involved AKP Deputy İbrahim Halil Yıldız's bodyguards and relatives, and her son Ferit Şenyaşar, who was injured in the same attack, has marked its 109th day.
The family, who carries out the vigil in front of the Urfa Courthouse five days a week, has been in Istanbul for legal support for the last two days.
The family attended the Democracy Conference held at the Dr. Kadir Topbaş Performance and Art Centre on Thursday, June 24, in Istanbul. Today, the family will visit the Halkların Köprüsü (Peoples’ Bridge) Association and Istanbul Bar Association to ask legal support.
“Our struggle for justice continues on its 2nd day in Istanbul. Today national TV channels will host us. We will meet the head of the Istanbul Bar Association and ask for legal support for the hospital massacre case. We demand justice!”, the family said on Twitter.
