The Justice Vigil carried out by the Şenyaşar family has reached day 348. The vigil was launched on 9 March 2021 by Emine Şenyaşar, who lost her husband and two sons as a result of the attack carried out by AKP Deputy İbrahim Halil Yıldız's bodyguards and relatives, in Suruç, province of Urfa, on 14 June 2018. The vigil has been carried out since then in front of the Urfa Courthouse by Emine Şenyaşar and her son Ferit, who survived the attack.
At weekends the vigil is carried out in the house of the family in Suruç. Today, however, only Emine Şenyaşar is at home, because her son Ferit has gone to Istanbul to participate to the "People's Houses Press, Art and Solidarity Awards".
The family shared the following message on their social media account: “We are on our way to make our voices heard by the authorities. They will either hear us or leave. Everything has an end, we will keep our faith. Our struggle will bring justice. We are almost there. Good days will come."
