Emine Şenyaşar, who lost her husband and two sons during the attacks carried out by body guards and relatives of AKP Deputy Ibrahim Halil Yıldız on the family shop in Suruç in June 2018, continues her Vigil for Justice. For 44 days the Şenyaşar family have gone in front of the courthouse in Urfa. Last weekend Emine Şenyaşar and her son Ferit, continued the vigil at home due to the coronavirus restrictions. Today they arrived a bit later than usual in front of the courthouse because they had a weekly phone call with Fadıl Şenyaşar, who is held in Elazığ Closed Prison.
The Şenyaşar family issued a statement on their social media account and thanked the Mardin Şahmaran Women's Platform for visiting them on Tuesday. “Remaining silent and neutral against persecution also means standing by the oppression. Let's be one common voice against tyranny and injustice.”
