Emine Şenyaşar and her son Ferit Şenyaşar have been holding a “Vigil for Justice” for 33 days in front of the Courthouse in Urfa. The action started on 9 March. Emine Şenyaşar’s husband and two sons were murdered in Suruç when they were attacked by the bodyguards and relatives of AKP Urfa MP Ibrahim Halil Yıldız in June 2018, just before the general elections.

Emine Şenyaşar is demanding justice to be served as well as the release of her other son, Fadıl Şenyaşar, who was arrested after the incident, and sentenced to 37 years and 9 months in prison.
