Şenyaşar family: Solidarity gives us strength to resist

The Şenyaşar family that protests the murder of their family members by the ruling AKP members emphasized the importance of solidarity on the 112th day of their justice vigil.

The justice vigil of Emine Şenyaşar, who lost her husband and two sons in an armed attack that involved AKP deputy İbrahim Halil Yıldız's bodyguards and relatives in 2018, and her son Ferit Şenyaşar, who was injured in the same attack, continues.

The Şenyaşar family holds the vigil in front of the courthouse five days a week and at their home in Suruç at the weekend.

The first vigil of this week started in front of the courthouse barriers.

“Everyone is aware of our case. During all the visits paid to us, it is stated that we are persecuted,” Ferit Şenyaşar said during the vigil.

“Recently, we visited the head of the Istanbul Bar Association. They said they would follow our case. Our struggle continues. A large public opinion has been formed and is growing. This solidarity gives us the strength to resist. We invite everyone to come here for solidarity," he added.

The family posted a new message on Twitter, shared the report about the attack on the ambulance at the hospital and the obligation to transfer the ambulance to the police department.

“A deputy, together with his family members, kills three people in a public building. Our struggle for justice continues on its 112th day in front of the Şanlıurfa Palace of Justice (!), which says, 'It is legal not to file a lawsuit for three years’…Official document and crime against humanity,” the family wrote.
