Abdullah Boran, an 80-year-old prisoner suffering from cancer, was held in Diyarbakır D Type Closed Prison. He passed away last night in Gazi Yaşargil Training and Research Hospital, where he was being treated.
Upon receiving the news, the family took Bora's body from the hospital and took it to Bismil. Bora's body was buried in the cemetery in the city's Aralik Mahallesi.
Many people, including executives from the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) and Democratic Regions Party (DBP), attended the funeral.
It has been reported that Bora, who has been imprisoned for about 26 years, was diagnosed with colon cancer 2 years ago and was treated for 7 months, always handcuffed.
