During his weekly call with his family, Yakup Turgut has denounced several human rights violations in Patnos L-Type Prison. “No hot water is given and there are many more issues,” said Turgut during his talk with the family.

“The existing problems continue aggravating. There is no hot water, we are forced to shower with cold water, and some of us are already getting sick because of cold weather conditions. Moreover, drinking water is dirty and stinks,” Turgut told.

In addition, prisoners are forced to pay high electric bills despite the fact that they don’t consume any, according to Turgut.
