Families of children who are in prison charged under the Anti-Terrorism Act (TMK) are staging a sit-in act for an indefinite period of time in front of Diyarbakýr E Type prison.
Families and human right activists had begun the sit-in which was planned to last three days. The action was decided after the families learned that their kids had been transferred to another prison without them knowing nothing about it. Today the families turned the sit-in into an action with no time limit to protest against the deportation of the children and prison conditions.
“We are going to continue the sit-in until our children will be freed” stated the families who are supported in their action by the Human Rights Association (IHD).
