The fate of 5 Kurds who were detained by the Iranian security forces in Meriwan city on 14 August remain unknown.

According to Harana website, 5 persons from Nê village of Meriwan were detained on 14 August and despite all their efforts the families could not receive any information about where their sons are detained.

It remains unknown where the detainees were taken and what are they accused of. The names of the five people detained after house raids, are reported to be: Extiyar Kawe, Behmen Fetahzade, Biryar Kawe, Burhan Direxþanî and Burhan Xusrewî.
