A total of 24 people, including 20 women, were detained in Hakkari (Colemêrg) and its districts on 15 August. It was learned that Fatma Bulut (50), who is suffering from blood pressure, was among the 24 people whose detention period was extended for another 4 days. She had to be taken to the hospital.
Bulut was hospitalized twice in 3 days and is currently in Hakkari State Hospital.
The statement proceedings of the 24 detainees at the Hakkari Police Department have not yet started. The request of Bulut's lawyer to delay the statement due to their client's health problem was rejected by the prosecutor's office without giving any reason.
