HDP co-chair Pervin Buldan was a guest at the "Justice table" organised by the Şenyaşar family and said: "Stop this injustice as soon as possible."
Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) co-chair Pervin Buldan, HDP spokesperson Ebru Günay, MPs Ömer Öcalan, Ayşe Sürücü and HDP party executives visited the Şenyaşar family, who have been demanding justice in Urfa for 399 days.
The HDP co-chair attended the family's fast-breaking dinner offered by the family in front of Urfa courthouse.
The Justice Vigil was launched on 9 March 2021 by Emine Şenyaşar, who lost her husband and two sons as a result of the attack carried out by AKP Deputy Ibrahim Halil Yıldız's bodyguards and relatives, in Suruç, province of Urfa, on 14 June 2018.
The vigil has been carried out since then in front of the Urfa Courthouse by Emine Şenyaşar and her son Ferit, who survived the attack.
Speaking at the vigil, Buldan said that the Senyaşar family's Vigil for Justice should touch everyone's conscience and heart.
Buldan said: "For 399 days, this mother, Emine Şenyaşar, has been crying for justice. She has been calling on the Turkish public and those who rule Turkey to end this injustice as soon as possible. Not hearing this mother's cry is not giving a voice to this family's call.”
Buldan added: “We would like to appeal once again to those who run this country in the presence of this mother: Put an end to this injustice. This mother knows very well that what she lost will never come back. We stand by the Şenyaşar family. We know the injustice and unlawfulness they suffered."
Ferit Şenyaşar, on the other hand, talked about the injustice they have been subjected to. Şenyaşar said that when Buldan was visiting them before, they had been taken into custody, and said: "My mother was called [to court] for the 15th time today.”
Emine Şenyaşar, on the other hand, said that they faced persecution during the Vigil for Justice, which entered its 400th day today, and said that only death would remove her from the courthouse.
