HDP group chair Beştaş and MP Ersoy visit Aysel Tuğluk and say her situation worsened

HDP parliamentary group chair Meral Danış Beştaş and MP Oya Ersoy visited Aysel Tuğluk in Kandıra Prison, and said that her illness was progressing. They called for her to be released.

Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) parliamentary group chair Meral Danış Beştaş and MP Oya Ersoy visited politician Aysel Tuğluk, who is imprisoned in Kandıra No. 1 F Type Closed Prison. Beştaş said that they visited Kurdish politician and lawyer Aysel Tuğluk and confirmed that her situation is worsening. The former MP is suffering from dementia.

Beştaş said that Tuğluk cannot stay alone and added: “We visited Kandıra Prison together with our Istanbul deputy Oya Ersoy. In our meeting with our dear friend Aysel Tuğluk, we saw with dismay that her illness had progressed very quickly. She cannot be alone and cannot meet her daily needs anymore. She should be released as soon as possible.”
