HDP Derik and Mazıdağı district organization executives visited the Şenyaşar family which is holding a justice vigil in Urfa province.
Şenyaşar family's vigil for justice continues in front of the Urfa Courthouse. Emine Şenyaşar’s husband Hacı Esvet and her two sons Celal and Adil Şenyaşar were killed in June 2018 by bodyguards and relatives of AKP deputy Ibrahim Halil Yıldız. A third son, Fadıl Şenyaşar, who defended himself and his family, was sentenced to 37 years in prison on murder charges.
Derik and Mazıdağ district organization administrators of the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) paid a support visit to the family.
HDP Derik district co-chair Selahattin İzci said, “If there is no justice in a state, there will be no peace and stability. Everyone should stand with this mother for justice, right and law.”
“Justice is necessary for everyone. Those who eliminate justice will need it soon,” he added.
Speaking here, Ferit Şenyaşar said, “We can survive with solidarity. We struggle with solidarity. We thank the delegation from Mardin for their support for our struggle. We expect the same sensitivity from all NGOs, political parties and people with conscience.”
HDP members joined the family’s justice vigil for a while. Mother Emine Şenyaşar, who told about the killing of her family members to the delegation, shed tears and lamented.
After leaving the scene, the HDP members were stopped by the police, kept waiting for a long time and subjected to an identity check.
