The hunger strike launched by prisoners on 27 November demanding the end of the isolation on Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan and the violations in prisons entered its 26th day with the 5th group.
The hunger strike launched by prisoners on 27 November demanding the end of the isolation on Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan and the violations in prisons entered its 26th day with the 5th group.
Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan has been kept in isolation since he was captured in 1999. Political prisoners have gone on hunger strike on 27 November demanding both the end of the isolation imposed on Öcalan and the end of the continuing violations against prisoners.
The hunger strike is alternated and indefinite. Today it entered day 26 and is being carried out by the 5th group of prisoners.
