Hunger strike successfully ended in Osmaniye prison

In the prisons of Osmaniye and Maraş, dozens of prisoners went on hunger strike due to inhumane prison conditions.

Thirty prisoners in Osmaniye T Type Prison No.2 started a hunger strike on 12 November against harassment and violations of rights such as military roll-call and arbitrary punishments. The prisoners have now successfully ended their hunger strike after their demands were met.

On the other hand, the hunger strike of four prisoners against rights violations continues in the Türkoğlu T Type Prison in Maraş since 25 November. The prisoners demand an end to the practices of military roll-call, naked search, the obligation to march in military order in the corridors, arbitrary punishments, the obligation to carry identity cards around their necks and the seizure of their letters, packages, books and the Yeni Yaşam newspaper.
