“The poor prison conditions that already exist are turning into constant torture for disabled prisoners. These conditions, which offend human dignity, need to be eliminated quickly. The requirements of being a social state and a state of law in particular for citizens with disabilities are paramount. All citizens, and in particular those with disabilities should benefit from health and education services; their participation should be secured and urgent solutions are required. On the occasion of 3 December, International Day of Persons with Disabilities, we invite the public to protest and demand the solution to these problems for the construction of a world for all.”
