Members of the Confederation of Solidarity with Prisoner's Families (TUHAD-FED) and the 78s Federation will march to the No. 5 Diyarbakýr Prison on September 11 to protest the 1980 Military Coup.
The chairman of TUHAD-FED, Zeynep Teker, made a speech saying, "The AKP [ruling Justice and Development Party] wants to carry out a civil coup in order to establish a sole party dictatorship Turkey. They fabricate many excuses to cut the voices of their opponents. In order to make peace, The meetings with PKK [Kurdistan Workers' Party] leader, Abdullah Öcalan must be continued, political prisoners must be released and the No. 5 prison be transformed into a museum." Teker then called on everyone to join the march to be held on September 11.
