Makbule Berktaş, known as Mother Makbule, one of the founders of the Human Rights Association (IHD) Adana Branch and devoted her whole life to the struggle for justice and democracy, passed away.

Mother Makbule died as a result of a heart attack. Her remains were taken to the morgue of Yüreğir State Hospital. Bektaş will be buried at Adana Buruk Cemetery today at 1 pm.
