Öcalan denied access to his own books

Kurdish leader Abdullah Öcalan who is being held in solitary confinement in İmralı island prison has been denied access to four books written by him himself.

Kurdish leader Abdullah Öcalan who is being held in solitary confinement in İmralı island prison has been denied access to his own books on the grounds that they contained “propaganda of an illegal organization”.

İmralı F Type High Security Prison administration has not allowed Öcalan to receive four books previously written by him himself.

According to a statement by Asrın Law Bureau, the four books by Öcalan, “Persistence in Socialism”, “Kurdish Love”, “How to Live” and “Language and Act of Reality”, which were sent to him by his lawyers were not allowed into the prison on the grounds that they contained “propaganda of an illegal organization”.
