Solidarity Association with Prisoners’ Families (TAYAD) reported that 1,758 prisoners died in the F Type Prisons in Turkey last decade that the Justice and Development Party (AKP) is in power.

TAYAD members held a sit in action in front of Okmeydaný Health Care Centre in Ýstanbul to draw attention on the situation of prisoners in Turkey, today. “No isolation in prisons” and “we want justice” are the slogans chanted the protesters during the action.

According to TAYAD’s report 401 prisoners committed suicide due to inhuman conditions in the prisons.
