The BDP (Peace and Democracy Party) asked Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoðan if the Turkish army used phosphorous bombs during an helicopter attack in Dersim. The raids took place after the attack at the army station Sarýyayla. BDP Member of Parliament for Van Özdal Üçer submitted a written question to the speaker’s office. Underlining the serious damages caused by such bombs, Üçer added that they have permanent effects on the skin, liver, heart and kidneys. Üçer underlined that the usage of these bombs was forbidden in public and civil areas with under the Genevre Agreement. In 2008 Israel killed 400 children and women in Palestine using this bomb. The Prime Minister had previously criticised Israel for using it and had expressed his opposition to the weapons of mass destruction. Üçer asked Erdoðan if there is any relevant investigation and analysis enquiry into the subject.
