Prisoners are collecting money to send to BDP
The prisoners charged with PKK (Kurdistan workers’ Party) related charges in Sincan (Ankara) F type Prison Nr. 2 and Kýrýkkale F Type Prison raised money as part of the financial contribution campaign started by BDP (Peace and Democracy Party).
The campaign, which was started by BDP was denied public money by a law enacted by AKP (Justice and Development Party) and is being supported by prisoners. While BDP’s call is being responded to by different prisoners everyday, prisoners in Sincan and Kýrýkkale F Type Prisons also supported the campaign by raising money. 500 TL (around 250 euros) were raised in Sincan prison and 100 TL (around 50 euros) raised in Kýrýkkale prison will be sent to BDP accountancy in the coming days. In their statement, prisoners expressed that every sensible person must support BDP in its fight for democracy despite all pressures and obstacles it faces.
