TU-HA-DER, the association of prisoners' families, Adana Branch has received 4,000 petitions against ill treatment by the administration of Osmaniye T Type Closed Prison and Karataþ Women Prison. The petitions have been sent to the Minister of Justice and President of the Republic.

According to the petitions, isolation, prohibition of family visits, beating and insulting during transfers, cuffed medical examination, taking away routine prisoners’ rights like watching TV, participating social activities, reading daily newspaper are among the many violations exercised in these prisons.
