Prisoners call on people to protest against PM visit

In a statement on behalf of all Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) and Party for a Free Life in Kurdistan (PJAK) prisoners in Turkey, Deniz Kaya called on the people of Diyarbakýr to protest against Erdoðan’s visit to Diyarbakýr on 2 June.

The statement by PKK and PJAK prisoners said Erdoðan was the trigger of Roboski massacre and an enemy of Kurds and continued as follows; “The exploitative Turkish state and its executive power AKP government continue to slaughter people, to drop bombs in all areas and to impose mass slaughter on civilian and defenseless people in our country every day. Like what they have done in the Roboski massacre, they kill and demand silence in return. They not only release police on people who demand their rights and refuse to remain silent, but also subject thousands of people to mass torture sessions. In the face of the hunting of our people, we say “êdi bese” [enough now] to daily detentions, arrests, imprisonments, tortures and insults.”

It is time to stand up for our rights, to protect our honor and to bring the perpetrators of Roboski massacre to book, underlined the statement and called on the Kurdish people to join the civil commotion movement to gain a free and equal life against the racist and torturer state.

“We are calling on all our people to protest against killer Erdoðan and his new collaborationists for the memory of Roboski victims and thousands of martyrs. Our people shouldn’t go outside, children shouldn’t go to school and shopkeepers should close their shops to welcome colonialist Erdoðan and his gang”, said the statement and warned that the response the Prime Minister deserves will no doubt be given to him in the territory of the Kurdish people.
