The Democratic Freedom Women’s movement (DÖKH) issued a statement regarding the election results. "We are living in days where the political environment is characterized by a male mentality. - said the statement - Kurdish women are becoming real pioneers in transforming society into a place of ethic and true political values which are getting more important". DÖKH challenged to practice this aim more powerful and concrete methods.

“The struggle for women’s freedom, an even and just philosophy creates with a new way of life, in organization, in art, in war. The leadership of Kurdish women in society is a source of inspiration and has a huge influence on creating hope for creating a free life which shaking the current system’s foundation” stated DÖKH.

DÖKH member women also condemned the latest arrest wave In Batman, Iðdýr, Diarbakýr and Muþ, made under the name of “KCK,” and detained 28 Kurdish politicians.
