HPG Press Office stated that the guerrillas continue their effective actions against the military forces of AKP government that is trying to expand its occupation of Kurdistan.

HAKKARİ

Turkish warplanes bombarded the Konserve hill and Şkêrê Spi areas in Hakkari’s Şemzinan district between 19:30 on October 16 and 03:00 on October 17. Sikorsky helicopters also airdropped soldiers in these areas around 00:00 on October 17.

Guerrillas carried out a targeted action aiming the soldiers positioned at Martyr Hozan hill in Hakkari’s Yüksekova district at 11:30 on October 17, and 1 soldier was killed here.

Guerrillas carried out another action with heavy weaponry targeting the soldiers positioned around Martyr Gaffur hill in Hakkari’s Yüksekova district at 12:00 on October 17, and the number of dead and injured soldiers couldn't be clarified.

ŞIRNAK

Guerrillas conducted another action from two directions targeting the soldiers positioned at Evnêbênat hill in Şırnak’s Güçlükonak district at 13:30 on October 17. One soldier was killed in the targeted action of the first guerrilla unit, and 1 tank was destroyed and 3 soldiers were killed in the second guerrilla unit’s action with heavy weaponry. Cobra helicopters randomly bombarded the area after the action, which was carried out to commemorate the guerrillas that recently fell as martyrs in Guze Kurkê.

AMED

The Turkish army launched an operation in the Martyr Navdar region of Amed’s Lice district in the morning of October 17.

BİNGÖL

The Turkish army also started an operation in the Martyr Hozan and Qir regions of Bingöl’s Yayladere district on October 16, and ended this operation around 16:00 on the same day.

AĞRI

HPG recalled that Turkish army had launched an operation around Ağrı’s Mount Tendürek on October 11. At least 12 soldiers had been killed and several military equipment had been seized during the clashes that broke out here. HPG said local sources report that 30 soldiers were killed during the Turkish army’s operation around Mount Tendürek.
