HDP Group Deputy Chairman Çağlar Demirel said she was given the information that 10 of the bodies were buried in the cemetery of the nameless and preparations for another 7 bodies to be buried there were underway. Demirel stated that they have also met with the Minister of Justice regarding this issue, saying; “Our demand is that the burials not be made until the DNA results come out. They (Turkish officials) told us burials were carried through because 15 days had passed. The burial can be carried out if there is no DNA match in the Forensic Medicine Institution, but they have to wait until all DNA samples are matched.”
Demirel also stressed that they continue their meetings to facilitate the DNA matching process.
