Following the recent clashes in the countryside of Adıyaman’s Kömür town, which resulted in the death of 4 soldiers yesterday, Turkish gendarmerie forces launched a detention operation in the region.

Gendarmerie forces carried out raids on 12 addresses and detained 11 people including Kömür town co-mayor Hüseyin Yuka of the Democratic Regions Party (DBP). Yuka and three other people have been taken to Adıyaman provincial gendarmerie command.
