An eleven-year-old child was critically injured as result of an explosion in the Lice district in Amed (Diyarbakır) province on Tuesday.
The boy, Yusuf Yıldırak, was grazing of sheep in a pasture between the rural neighborhoods of Serince and Ziyaret when an explosive device left behind by the Turkish army exploded. Two splinters penetrated his body and injured him severely. He succumbed to his injuries in hospital on Friday.
The eleven-year-old had emigrated with his family from the province of Bingöl to Lice.
