Yazda released its second report on mass grave excavation in Sinjar (Shengal).
The report cover the period from 12 April to 28 April 2019, and 11 mass graves were excavated in Kocho. This brings the total number of excavated sites to 12 since 15 March 2019.
Yazda documentation team monitored the process and answered the questions of the families.
The process is believed to restart in the coming days but the schedule might change due to devastating wildfires in Sinjar. The fires damaged two mass graves so far, one in Hamadan and one in Kocho.
