HPG Press Office released a statement providing information about the most recent actions conducted by guerrillas and the ongoing operations and attacks of the Turkish army.

YÜKSEKOVA

HPG Press Office reported that Turkish military operation in Mergêzerê area of Hakkari's Yüksekova district continues.

At 13:30 on September 28, Turkish jets bombed Hill Bayê and Geliyê Şîn hamlets. At 15:00 in the afternoon the same day, guerrillas carried out an action targeting a position of soldiers in Deriyê Karwana hamlet. Guerrillas hit an emplacement of the soldiers with heavy weapons, which left 3 soldiers dead and 3 others wounded.

In the wake of the action, Turkish army shelled the area with howitzer and mortar fire in addition to airstrikes till 02:00 last night.

At 01:00 on September 29, guerrillas encountered with a counter-guerrilla unit in an area between Çatak and Runa Rovi villages of Yüksekova. 3 members of the counter-guerrilla unit were killed in a clash that erupted in this area.

ÇUKURCA

At 11:00 on September 27, guerrillas carried out an action targeting a civilian car which was transporting soldiers to the Bilican outpost in Hakkari's Çukurca district. The car was destroyed and all the soldiers in it were killed as a result of the action.

In the afternoon of September 28, guerrillas effectively hit the soldiers that gathered in front of the Maruka outpost in Çukurca, which left 6 soldiers dead.

At 13:30 on September 28, guerrillas hit the soldiers in Serê Sêvê outpost in Çukurca and 2 soldiers were killed here.

At 06:30 on September 28, guerrillas targeted a military unit near Ertuş castle with heavy weapons. The number of dead or wounded soldiers couldn't be clarified.

One soldier was killed in a targeted action of guerrillas in the same area at 11:00 in the morning.

Turkish army is running an operation in Cengê, Melixan and Kunavê villages in Faraşin areas of Hakkari for the past two days.

LİCE

A targeted action by guerrillas left one soldier dead in Korxê outpost in Amed's Lice district at 13:30 on September 28.

SAVUR

Turkish army launched an operation in Ewêna and Bakustan villages of Mardin's Savur district at 19:30 on September 27. An armed confrontation took place between guerrillas and soldiers in Bakustan village at 07:30 on September 28.

MEDYA DEFENSE ZONES

Turkish jets bombarded the following locations in guerrilla-held Medya Defense Zones in South Kurdistan:

Surroundings of Zevê village in Zap region at between 14.00 – 14.30 on September 28,

Surroundings of Biyê and Guzê villages in Garê area at between 18.30 - 22.00 on September 27,

Surroundings of Deşta Kafya and Martyr Akif Cemetery at between 12.00 - 13.30 on September 28.
