14-year-old shot by a former village guard dies
One of the two kids shot by a former village guard in Batman has died.
A former village guard aged 67 shot two kids of his neighbor in Kayapınar (Aynkef) town of Batman's Gerçüş district on May 9.
While the kids were taken to Batman Regional Hospital, one of them, 14 years old Vedat Dündar K., lost his life Monday evening. He has been laid to rest in the town cemetery today.
On the other hand, his brother, 16-year-old E.K., remains in critical condition.
In a statement one day after the incident, Batman Governorate claimed that the person in question was no security guard, stating that he has been captured and investigation into the incident continues.
