Police forces raided the municipal building in Van’s Muradiye district this morning and searched the rooms of Co-mayors.

After leaving the building, the police raided several houses and detained 16 people including municipal employees and council members. Below are the names of the people detained in Muradiye today:

Halk Ekmek Bakery employee Ercan Akkuş, Ercan Dilmaç, Mesut Yılmaz, child named H.K, municipal council member Turan Tunç, Nesim Solmaz, Doğan Başak, Ekrem Karagüle, DBP Muradiye District Co-chair Mehmet Kaplan, Halil Güler, Kemal Karagülle, Bahattin Karagülle and Yusuf Karagülle.
