HPG Press Office reported that guerrillas carried out an expansive action targeting the Turkish soldiers on Ronahi Hill in Hakkari's Şemdinli district from three sides.
According to the statement, guerrillas infiltrated to the hill from three sides on September 8. The first guerrilla unit hit the soldiers around the hill at close range, which left 4 soldiers dead.
The second and third guerrilla units advanced up to the hill and destroyed four emplacements of Turkish troops. At least 12 soldiers were confirmed killed here, while the soldiers that survived left the hill and fled.
While one guerrilla fell fighting here, troops at Mamreş, Bêzokê and Museka outposts bombed the hill with howitzer and mortar fire.
HPG said the action was conducted in memory of the guerrillas who fell martyr during the Turkish military operation in Ertuş area, and gave the following ID details of the fallen guerrilla:
