In Cizre district of Şırnak where state forces continue attacking the areas of self-rule, police shot a 16 years old youth dead and wounded another. A woman also died after feeling faint due to intensified attacks.
As the curfew in the town continues for the 15th day, gunfire by special operation police has left Hüseyin Ertene (16) dead in Cudi neighborhood Monday afternoon. Ertene was shot by a bullet in the chest and lost his life later due to denial of ambulance to the scene.
In the meantime, another youth by the name of Orhan Levent was wounded after being targeted by special operation police deployed on Hastane Hill.
As the aggression by state forces continues, people remain on the streets and continuing the resistance in the neighborhoods under attack. Hundreds have started a march from Alibey to Yafes neighborhood to protest the ongoing atrocity.
On the other hand, 85-year-old Kumru Işık living in Nur neighborhood has also died after feeling faint due to the intensified attacks this morning. Işık's family said she died because no ambulance was allowed to the area after her health problem. Her body could be taken out of the neighborhood only hours later.
A total of 23 people have been killed as a result of attacks by state forces in Cizre since the beginning of the most recent curfew on 14 December.
