It came out that 16-year-old youth by the name of Aydın Mete was killed by special operation police in Silopi 4 days ago. Aydın was cousin of 10-year-old Mehmet Mete who had been killed on 21 December.

Aydın Mete had been missing for the last 4 days since he left home to go to a neighbor in Şehit Harun neighborhood. His death has been revealed only today after his family went outside the house to see their son's lifeless body lying on the street.

The youth's body cannot be buried at the moment due to ongoing attacks by state forces. It has been taken to the neighborhood mosque where his 10-year-old cousin Mehmet's dead body is being held also.
