17-year-old Semra Çelik who got injured by police in Amed's Kayapınar district one week ago, has died while receiving treatment in hospital.

On April 5, Çelik had suffered a heavy injury after being hit in the head by a bullet fired by police in Amed's central Kayapınar district.

The young woman who had been receiving treatment in Dicle University Medical Faculty since, has died earlier today after one week of struggle to survive.

Çelik had suffered brain death after the bullet that hit her in the head exploded in the brain.
