Police forces raided the building of Democratic Regions' Party (DBP) in Hakkari where an indefinite – reversible hunger strike against the seizure of the municipality through the appointment of a trustee is ongoing.
20 people including hunger strikers, deputy co-mayor Fatma Ayyıldız and Şaban Alkan, HDP provincial co-chairs Emine Armut and Asım Özcan and MEYA-DER provincial co-chair Selim Kaya were taken into custody during the raid.
The detainees were taken to the police directorate and police continue their search in the DBP building.
