Trustees appointed to the positions of DBP mayors in Van on September 11 have dismissed 223 municipal employees so far. The dismissal of employees is solely based on police reports, and 21 employees in Edremit, 59 in İpekyolu, 4 in Özalp, and 14 in Erciş have been notified that their contracts will not be renewed. Trustee Önder Can appointed to İpekyolu Municipality also dismissed 125 cleaning services employees. 

Tüm Bel Sen union officials stated that the dismissals were solely based on police reports, and they would take these dismissals to the Constitutional Court and perhaps the European Court of Human Rights, if the former does not yield any results.

The appointed trustees are expected to continue dismissing municipal employees based on incoming police reports in the near future.
