HPG Shengal Command-YBŞ General Command has released the balance sheet of the operation for Shengal's liberation going on for a week now.

The balance sheet also includes the details for the period between 3 August 2014 and 13 November 2015.

According to the balance sheet, 2680 gang members were killed during this process and 823 others were wounded. 242 vehicles belonging to the gangs were destroyed and 253 others were damaged. The documents seized include 2 computers and some papers belonging to the AKP government.

The statement recalled that the operation started with the liberation of Geliye Shilo on October 8 and continued with the liberation of villages in west Shengal. The offensive was accomplished with the liberation of Shengal town centre on November 13.

According to the balance sheet, the operation in Shilo and Shengal area was participated by 2500 combatants involving HPG, YJA Star, YBŞ, YPJ-Shengal, MLKP fighters and volunteers.

HPG-YBŞ Shengal Commands extended thanks to the peshmerga, Êzidxan and coalition forces that also took part in the operation alongside the aforementioned forces.

The statement said details regarding the operation in west Shengal area will be announced later.

Providing details regarding the offensive aimed at Shengal town centre, the statement said a large quantity of ammunition belonging to gang groups were seized during the operation, which include 2 hammer vehicles, two DShK heavy machine guns, mortars and shells, 10 pump rifles, missiles, M-16 rifles, 60 Kalashnikov rifles, 2 military vehicles, 1 lorry, 1000 mines, 50 improvised explosive devices, 10 explosive belts, 2 computers, some documents belonging to the AKP government, corpses of 20 gang members.

In addition, three ISIS members were taken prisoner; Ezize Mihemmed Heci Cihedi from Aleppo, Mıhemmed Ehmed Muhammed from Saudi Arabia and Muhammed Süleyman from Aleppo.

Furthermore, two Êzîdî girls were rescued from ISIS; Sahir Sileyman (17) and Suzan Xıdır (15) from Sıbe Şex Xıdır.
