HPG Press Office announced that actions and retaliations against the Turkish state, which has been enhancing its fascist attacks and expanding its occupation of Kurdistan, continue.
ŞIRNAK
In its statement, HPG recalled that the Turkish army had been constructing a military road between Şırnak and Van in order to strengthen its occupation of Besta region and construct new military bases. Guerrillas had carried out different actions against the soldiers in this region, however the road construction efforts continued with the support of soldiers specifically assigned by the governor of Şırnak.
To commemorate Bahoz Arya (Adıl Brukimilan) and other comrades that had fallen as martyrs, gurerillas launched a revolutionary operation against the soldiers in this region on September 26. Guerrillas carried out an action targeting the Turkish army positions between Çelê Nımeja and the Şırnak Division from two directions at 14:10, and all of these positions were destroyed in the action. 17 soldiers were killed and many guns were seized during the clashes here.
Simultaneously, the Çelê Nımeja division was shelled and many construction vehicles were heavily damaged by guerrillas. Turkish troops randomly bombarded the region after the guerrilla action, and many ambulances as well as armored and civilian vehicles were used to retrieve the bodies of dead and injured soldiers. One guerrilla fell as martyr during the revolutionary operation in Şırnak.
BAŞKALE
HPG stated that guerrillas encircled a group of counter-guerrillas between the villages of Kanispi and Taxikê in the Serelbak region of Van’s Başkale district at 17:00 on September 26. The counter-guerrillas ignored the guerrillas' stop warnings and 3 counter-guerrillas got injured as they were shot by guerrillas. Village guards from Kanispi arrived the area and withdrew later by leaving behind the vehicle of the counter-guerrillas. The injured counter-guerrillas were retrieved with a Sikorsky helicopter from the Kanispi outpost.
DERİK
HPG Press Office announced that guerrillas carried out a sabotage action targeting the soldiers in a military vehicle on a road close to Mardin’s Derik district at 09:00 on September 26. Eight soldiers including a sergeant were killed and three soldiers were heavily injured as a result of the action. The dead and injured soldiers were taken to the hospitals in Qoser and Mêrdin, and the Martyr Kurtay Revenge Unit’s action was dedicated to the guerrillas martyred in Mazıdağı.
LICE
HPG recalled that the Turkish army had launched an operation in the Peşi Kevır area of Lice on September 23, and has been in control of the area near Entaq valley since. Guerrillas encircled the soldiers that taking positions between the villages of Licok and Kerwas, and infiltrated into the positions of these soldiers at 06:00 on September 24. 4 soldiers were killed and 2 others were injured, and a guerrilla named Armanç Xaçek fell as martyr during the clashes here. The soldiers abandoned the area and ended their unsuccessful operation, and the bodies of dead and injured soldiers were retrieved with the use of Sikorsky helicopters.
GENÇ
YJA Star guerrillas carried out an action against the Gas outpost in Bingöl’s Genç district at 18:20 on September 25, and hit the underground positions, the tank and the tower inside the base. At least 2 soldiers were killed in the action, after which soldiers randomly shelled the area.
Turkish warplanes bombarded the rural area to the south of Muş between 17:00 on September 26 and 09:00 on September 27, and the Turkish army has increased its activities near Kozmê mountain.
KAĞIZMAN
HPG recalled that the Turkish army had launched an operation near the region of Xefasor in Kars’ Kağızman district on the morning of September 25, and ended its operation on the evening of September 26 without yielding any results.
DARGEÇİT
Turkish soldiers have been laying ambushes on the Dargeçit-Midyat road in Mardin since September 23.
WARPLANES BOMBARD GUERRILLA ZONES
While Turkish military operation in the Mergezerê region of Hakkari’s Yüksekova district continues, Turkish warplanes bombarded the region between 14:00 and 14:30 as well as 23:00 and 00:00 on September 26.
Turkish warplanes also bombarded the villages of Tutmê and Qalatuka and the Kartal hill in the Qandil region of Medya Defense Zones between 21:30 and 22:30 on September 26.
