According to a statement by Batman Governor's Office, a total of 32 areas in the countryside of Batman's Sason, Kozluk and Hasankeyf districts have been declared 'military security zone' for one year.

The restriction of access to the prohobited areas was grounded on “risks for the citizens' safety of life and property during the military operations carried out in these territories”.

The areas will remain as prohobited zones between January 1 – December 31, 2015.
